Today, 4 million people are free to enjoy the UK’s coastal waters and inland waterways - be that a relaxing leisure pastime or a high performance sport. But the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) never takes this for granted, as the voice of boating it tirelessly strives to protect our public right to navigation, maintaining these freedoms for everyone tomorrow.

Under pressure from competing commercial, environmental and leisure interests, RYA’s remit is wide and requires the expert support and guidance of a dynamic and progressive policy making committee to embrace the challenge and influence sustainable change.  We are looking for individuals who will provide specialist support and expertise in strategy, public and government affairs, policy development and consultation at a national and international level.

So if nurturing future talent from grassroots to World Champions, promoting sustainable boating for cleaner, healthier waters and growing participation and building inclusive and diverse communities are topics that float your boat, and you’re interested in lobbying to keep boating free from unnecessary regulations, please apply and tell us why your skills and experience will help RYA make a difference.
