Our new President & Provost Dr Michael Spence joined UCL in 2021. As he builds UCL’s senior leadership team, we now seek to appoint a new Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation & Global Engagement). The new team will deliver a unified strategy for UCL, through collaboration built on trust, openness, collaboration and commitment. UCL is London’s research powerhouse, with a commitment to enhancing the lives of people in the capital, the UK and around the world.
The Vice-Provost (RIGE) provides vision and academic leadership for UCL’s world-leading research, knowledge exchange and global engagement across an outstanding comprehensive university. Working collaboratively, the Vice-Provost (RIGE) will promote the collective strengths of the UCL community to ensure that research and innovation continues to be of the highest quality and sustainability, delivering positive social impact and solving real-world challenges.
UCL is seeking a collaborative and strategic individual who will play a critical role in the leadership of the University as a whole, as well as owning delivery within their own portfolio. Of professorial calibre, and with a deep understanding of the rapidly evolving higher education landscape, they will have an outstanding track record of leading impactful research and innovation agendas and delivering positive change in a complex, high performing university. They will demonstrate excellent emotional intelligence, team working and leadership as well as thoughtful expertise in research and innovation, delivering practical solutions to enhance UCL’s global impact.
