Curtin University is one of Australia’s most exciting and innovative universities, known for its impactful research, strong industry ties and preparation of students for the jobs of the future. In recent years it has soared into the global top 200 universities (QS 2022), propelled by its burgeoning research excellence and intensity. Now Curtin is seeking a Director of Research Services and Systems to drive and develop its research and engagement agenda further.

This is an exciting and critical role as research at Curtin continues to transform, expanding both its interdisciplinary research and its research base while updating its research systems and strategy to meet the research environment of the next decade. The Director will have the opportunity to deepen our emerging research services team culture, design systems and create new pathways to further support Curtin’s ever-increasing research and commercial priorities.

Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), the Director of Research Services and Systems will facilitate the continued development of industry and other partnerships through the promotion of efficient practices and processes. Along with proven skills in leading people and developing collaborative organisational culture and a keen interest in research development, funding, and translation, the successful candidate will ideally possess experience in systems configuration and in project and process management.
