We believe in a world where everyone breathes clean air.
The Clean Air Fund is a global philanthropic initiative that works to achieve clean air for all. We work around the world with governments, funders, businesses and campaigners to deliver clean air for all as fast as possible.
Founded in 2019, we are well-resourced and scaling fast; funded by a growing partnership of leading foundations with interests across health, climate, children, and mobility. By bringing these and other organisations together, we hope to identify and create best practice, share learnings, and connect people, and ensure solutions are rapidly scaled up and replicated around the world.
We are now seeking a dynamic individual to join us as Head of Campaigns. Air pollution is one of the biggest public health issues we face globally – and it’s getting worse. Over 7 million people die every year as a result of air pollution – more than twice as many as from malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS combined. As part of our Strategic Partnerships and Communications Team, the incoming Head of Campaigns develop and implement a global and national campaigning strategy to help us achieve our ambitious goals. You will pinpoint routes to influence, identify and work with key partners, and ensure campaigning works effectively to help us reach our global and national change targets.
The successful candidate will bring a track record of designing, developing, and delivering campaigns strategies, and strong relationship management with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and initiative, the ability to work with and influence policy, hold an international perspective, and evidence of identifying new opportunities to influence audiences in the fight for clean air. Most importantly, you will strongly align with Clean Air Fund’s mission, values and goals; whilst you don’t need to have worked on air pollution, knowledge of climate, sustainability and health would be beneficial. There will be scope to develop and shape the role over time, and the Head of Campaigns will need to be a collaborative self-starter, comfortable working at pace in a rapidly growing environment.
The role, reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications, is a full-time position, or for an outstanding candidate could be considered at 0.8 FTE. Preferred location is London but candidates with the right to work in a location where CAF has an office will also be considered. We will not be able to support work visa applications. Salary and benefits are dependent on location.
First round interviews will be held in February and second round interviews are likely to be held early March.
