Social Impact and Environment Practice

The Social Impact and Environment Practice was established in 2010 and has experienced significant growth ever since. We work with a diverse range of clients internationally across the global development, domestic UK charity, humanitarian response, human rights, environmental, sustainability, social enterprise, think tanks and research institutes, impact investment and private consultancy. Our work also intersects with that of governments and academia.

Senior Research Associate

By combining the intellectual and analytical skills necessary to grasp complex briefs and the research skills to identify world-leading candidates for leadership roles, the Research Associate role is fundamental to our business. Flexible, rigorous and attracted to complexity, you will have the advocacy skills to engage world-class senior leaders on behalf of our varied client base.

You will work under your own initiative in a fast-paced environment to deliver consistently excellent results. Throughout your time at Perrett Laver, you will be part of a strong, global network of colleagues who inspire and encourage you as you develop in the role while making a real difference to our client institutions.

Person specification:

The successful candidate will have experience working within, or supporting, one or more of the following: multilateral and/or bilateral institutions, domestic and/or international charities, government, foundations, social enterprise. Candidates with experience in professional service or consultancy will be viewed favourably.

The successful candidate will also have experience working with, and managing, relationships with senior stakeholders, and in project delivery. Previous experience working in executive search is not required.

• Intellectual interest in, and understanding of, the non-profit sector.
• Demonstrated interest to work in a professional service company.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Sharp and rigorous analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Tenacious, committed and results-oriented outlook.
• Ability to work flexibly to tight deadlines and an ability to
manage multiple projects and to prioritise workload.
• Collaborative and able to contribute to the development
of a growing team.
• A commercial mindset.
• Enthusiasm and proactivity.
• Strong personal values and a high level of integrity, as well as a sense of humour.
• Creative and flexible approach to research and problem-solving.
• Strong appreciation and understanding of the importance of punctuality, responsibility and discretion required for this role.
• A shared commitment to the mission and values of Perrett Laver.

Desirable:

Fluency in a language other than English, preferably French.
