The new campus features state-of-the-art facilities and is located at beautiful Tuen Mun East Castle Peak Bay, a serene setting where staff and students enjoy a pleasant and inspiring environment for teaching, learning and research.

Departments within the College include Chinese Literature, English, Journalism and Communication, Business Administration, Accounting and Banking, Finance, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, and Architecture, which together offer fourteen Bachelor’s Degree and ten Master’s Degree Programmes. The College is registered as an Approved Post Secondary College under the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap 320), with all degree programmes accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).

The President is the principal academic and administrative officer of the College, reporting to the Board of Governors and the College Council; and assisted by VicePresidents who help oversee particular areas of development and operation.

 

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The President shall:

  • assist the Board of Governors and the College Council to develop and implement long-term strategic plans to enable the College to attain its vision and missions.
  • provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the College’s operation and development, including academic scholarship, administration, finance, human resources planning, student affairs, student recruitment & enrollment, academic progress and achievements, the College’s advancement and fundraising, communications and public relations.
  • provide leadership to the institutional strategic planning process and implementation of the strategic plan as approved by the Board of Governors.
  • ensure that the best interests of the College’s students are well served in all matters and decisions.
  • be responsible for developing a strong and cohesive leadership team.
  • delegate to the Vice-Presidents and other key management personnel major responsibilities mentioned in item (2) above, and monitor their performance accordingly.
  • serve as an official representative of the College, build networks with various external stakeholders, and develop effective external relations and fundraising for the College.
  • carry out such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Governors and the College Council.
