As a leading Irish and global university (ranked No.1 in Ireland and 98th in the world, QS Rankings 2023), Trinity College Dublin educates the leaders of tomorrow, advances global research and drives economic growth in Ireland and Europe. Founded in 1592 and located in an iconic campus in Dublin city centre, Trinity is home to 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across all the major disciplines in arts and humanities, science and engineering, and health sciences.
The phenomenal success of our philanthropic campaign, Inspiring Generations, which delivered its target of €400m in June 2021, has established Trinity Development and Alumni (TDA) as one of Europe’s most successful university fundraising teams. TDA is seeking to appoint a new Director of Development to lead the development team and to build effective, long-term, high-value philanthropic relationships with prospects and donors.
The new Director of Development will report directly to the Director of Advancement and will work closely with the Provost and with Trinity’s external stakeholders to take philanthropy to the next level, developing and implementing a compelling strategy that engages Trinity’s 130,000 global alumni and supporters.
Passionate about Trinity’s values and mission, the successful candidate will have a track record of operating at a senior level in a strategic capacity, experience of major and principal gift fundraising and leading high performing fundraising teams. We also welcome applications from candidates who bring relevant and transferable experience and skills.
An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett Laver who will support TDA in identifying the widest possible field of qualified candidates and assist in their assessment against the requirements for the role.
