Against this backdrop, we are now seeking to appoint the next Dean of Birmingham Business School to lead the School forward through its next stage of development, refreshing and implementing a vision for its continued excellence in education, research, student engagement and outcomes in line with the Birmingham 2030 Strategic Framework. The Dean will enjoy a close working relationship with the Vice Chancellor, but as a member of the Board of the College of Social Sciences, will report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College, and is responsible for the delivery of the academic, financial and people management of the School as well as leading BBS’s Senior Management Team.

The Dean will also possess an excellent reputation in research and teaching but also have proven leadership and management credentials with an inclusive, collaborative approach, able to build positive relationships internally and externally.
