Inspiring generations is at the heart of the strategic plan for the Isle of Wight Cricket Board, with a supporting vision to be the number one sport in the region and to inspire a population that could confidently say ‘cricket is for me’.

The Isle of Wight Cricket Board is the home to the sport within the county. It is committed to inspiring, leading and influencing the growth of cricket in the Isle of Wight. Isle of Wight Cricket is responsible for ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for players and young people, whilst driving engagement and growing the membership to ensure all have the opportunity to enjoy the game. The transformation of the women’s and girls’ game represents significant opportunity in this regard and will allow for the further development of talented players.

We are now seeking a Non-Executive Director to join the board, who would support on the development of the sport within the wider community and bring the requisite financial acumen to enable our goals.

Joining as a Non-Executive Director, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in the strategic oversight and leadership of Isle of Wight Cricket as we pursue the vision for the region and support the widening of ECB’s ‘Inspiring Generations’ strategic plan. Isle of Wight Cricket board is seeking an individual with strategic financial abilities, and a contemporary, future focused approach. All candidates should understand modern, skills-based governance and the responsibilities a Non-executive Director holds. They will have proven ability to operate in a highly complex stakeholder environment and critically bring strong empathy for the wider culture of the club, cricket communities, and an inclusive leadership style.

Remuneration: Voluntary with reasonable expenses
