We are now seeking a new Vice President Academic Relations UK to support and advance Elsevier’s global objectives. The Vice President Academic Relations UK is responsible for building trust and influence with leading academic and research institutions across the UK, identifying opportunities in which Elsevier can help research leaders, advise on collaborative initiatives, and share insights gained across Elsevier. They will be responsible for tracking, analysing, and providing advice on the full range of operational and policy issues impacting UK Research and Higher Education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation in higher education, research and/or policy in the UK and will have an excellent understanding of the research and research funding landscape. They will be well connected to higher education and funding bodies, and have excellent ambassadorial skills and the capacity to collaborate with colleagues across Elsevier toward our shared commitment to help researchers advance science for the benefit of society.

Location: Must be located in the United Kingdom.

Start Date: The start date is flexible.

Compensation: Once the position description has been agreed upon, we will move to construct a compensation package. Elsevier’s SVP of Human Resources will engage to progress this at the appropriate point.
