The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is the preeminent global non-profit organization providing an independent source of technical and policy expertise on clean transportation. Our mission is to improve the environmental performance and energy efficiency of road, marine, and air transportation, in order to benefit public health and mitigate climate change. 

We are looking for a new Senior Researcher who will contribute their energy and creativity towards managing a research portfolio that will shape the heavy-duty vehicle technology transition towards zero-emission powertrains in the United States. This Senior Researcher leads our team’s work at the intersection of vehicle technology, economics, equity, justice, and public policy. The position is best suited to someone with inventiveness, creativity, resourcefulness, curiosity, and strong project management skills. The ideal candidate will hold a graduate degree with previous research experience in environment, transportation or energy topics, excellent writing skills, international education, travel, or work experience, and demonstrated passion for solving our most pressing global health and environmental challenges. This full-time position will be based in our Washington, D.C. or San Francisco, CA office and comes with a salary of $104,400 (DC) or $114,800 (SF).
