One of the leading international schools globally, Kellett, the British International School in Hong Kong, is a dynamic learning community with an impressive reputation for excellence. Established almost 50 years ago, Kellett provides a rich through school educational experience for 1,400 students aged 4 to 18, inspiring ‘a love of learning and confidence for life’.

In post since 2019, Mark Steed will step down as Principal and CEO in Summer 2023. During the last four years, Kellett has progressed to another level of maturity, securing its place as one of the world’s foremost British International Schools.  His successor will have a unique and exciting opportunity to build on Kellett’s considerable strengths and shape the future of a high performing organisation at the forefront of international education, as well as build community spirit following a prolonged period of Covid-related challenges.

The Board of Governors now seeks an outstanding leader with the vision, ambition and experience to inspire the diverse Kellett community in the pursuit of even greater success. The successful candidate will be an accomplished educator, with the personal authority and gravitas to be a compelling ambassador for Kellett globally, as well as a unifying community figure after some challenging years for the school community in Hong Kong. A track record of highly successful school leadership, proven strengths in empowering high performing teams and the emotional intelligence to manage complex organisational change are essential, as is an authentic commitment to Kellett’s distinctive ethos and values.
