California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) is a 501c(6) membership-based advocacy group committed to advancing the role of energy storage in the electric power sector. CESA’s mission is to make energy storage a mainstream resource. We strive to advance a more affordable, efficient, reliable, safe, and sustainable electric power system for all Californians. At 100+ members strong, CESA is the definitive voice of energy storage in California and the West. CESA operates as technology and business model-neutral, supported solely by the contributions and coordinated activities of its members.
CESA is looking for an Executive Director who will provide strategic leadership and be CESA’s voice to advance our mission, principles, and goals. Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director leads a talented team of contracted staff and is responsible for our strategic vision and planning; legislative, regulatory, and policy strategy; communications with policy makers, media, and members; administration, financial management, and compliance.
We welcome applications from experienced leaders with progressively senior roles in energy-related policy, business, non-profit management, education and advocacy, and/or consulting roles. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to foster long-term trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including with executive level, and ideally established relationships with key California policymakers.
