Creative Education Trust inspires and enables young people to build successful lives on foundations of learning, resilience and employability. We believe that a rewarding educational experience and the highest possible qualifications are the best way to ensure social mobility for young people.

We are a non-profit educational charity recognised by the Department for Education as one of the leading multi-academy groups in England. Our network consists of eleven secondary and six primary academies in the Midlands and Norfolk plus a central team. Further schools are in the pipeline and our medium-term ambition is to be a trust of 25 schools.

To deliver on our ambitions we must provide the best employment offer for our 1800 staff and truly realise our vision of being an employer of choice.  With the retirement of our current Director of HR, this is an opportunity to shape our next steps of a growth agenda, working as an equal partner in our Executive Team.

The appointee will work with a well-respected team of HR professionals and advise Board members and the People and Remuneration Committee on all aspects of our People Strategy.  They will develop and maintain strong relationships with Creative Education Trust’s Principals and Headteachers, with trade unions and professional associations and with the Trust’s Executive Team.

We seek an experienced HR professional, preferably a Chartered MCIPD or FCIPD, with a proven track record of successful HR leadership in complex organisations experiencing substantial change. Some experience of the challenges of working in a geographically distributed multi-site organisation would be advantageous.

Creative Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake relevant safeguarding checks in line with Government safer recruitment guidelines.
