Middlesex Cricket is a member’s club based at the Home of Cricket, Lord’s Cricket Ground, in St John’s Wood. For over a century and a half the club has been one of the most successful and well-respected first-class counties in the English domestic game with a proud history of developing many of the game’s greatest known cricketers. We are responsible for all cricket activity within 17 London Boroughs that form the county of Middlesex, from men’s and women's professional teams to recreational cricket for all ages.

We are currently seeking to appoint a non-executive Chair to lead our Board. The Chair will provide critical leadership ensuring that the recreational game and professional cricket thrive in the county and that as an organisation we benefit from the very best governance. Working in partnership with our CEO and Board Members, the Chair will play a significant role in directing club affairs, constructively challenging and developing our strategy, drive forward a culture of excellence, and ensure effective working relationships across a wide group of stakeholders.

The new Chair will be an individual of outstanding achievement, with the time, passion and commitment to devote to the Board and associated stakeholders at this important time in the development of the sport, representing the Club at a variety of levels ranging from local recreational cricket clubs and associations through to the government, and the ECB and MCC. Drawing on established governance experience, they will bring a strong understanding of risk and governance together with a collaborative approach. Financial and commercial acumen will be crucial to success, as will sound judgement, integrity and a collaborative leadership style. Visibly committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, they will share our mission to further develop cricket across the County both at the elite and recreational level and ensuring our sport remains inclusive to all within our community.

Middlesex would be delighted to hear from all qualified individuals who share our vision and ambition to deliver a bright future for cricket in the county.
