Are you passionate about seeing a world in which the daily lives of people are free of corruption?

Transparency International, the world’s leading anti-corruption organisation, is made up of over 100 national chapters worldwide, with a coordinating secretariat in Berlin. Transparency International UK (TI-UK) is TI’s UK Chapter and is a registered charity.  In addition to tackling corruption within the UK, TI-UK hosts global programmes on behalf of the wider TI movement.

Corruption is the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. It hurts everyone whose life, livelihood or well-being depends on the integrity of people in a position of authority. Corruption holds back economic development, prevents markets operating fairly for businesses and consumers, and further exploits already marginalised people. Corruption in the healthcare sector has a devastating impact on health and healthcare delivery, which is why TI has taken the initiative to create a ground-breaking programme in Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare.

Transparency International is now seeking to appoint an innovative and driven Director for its recently-established global Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Programme (PHP). This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in a highly-respected and influential organisation with global reach. It offers the opportunity to make a substantial difference to global health and the lives of ordinary people, through your leadership, management and service.

Reporting to the Executive Director of TI-UK and as a part of the senior management team, the Director, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Programme provides the overall strategic and operational leadership for the programme, the implementation and on-going review of the Programme’s strategy and delivery of its objectives in order to achieve real change in the fight against corruption and consequent improvement in global healthcare outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be motivated by the challenge and opportunity of making a positive difference by combating corruption on the world stage and will bring:

Strong leadership skills, taking ownership and responsibility for the delivery of goals and manage operations effectively and efficiently;

  • A proven track record as a manager of people, stakeholder relationships and complex programmes;
  • Expertise in public health and healthcare and/or expertise in the anti-corruption field
  • Experience in senior level policy-making – developing policy and arguing it into the agendas of governments and international organisations at the highest level.

This global role is based at TI-UK’s offices in central London, but also involves international travel.

To apply or download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role at www.perrettlaver.com/candidates quoting reference 3101. The closing date for applications is noon BST on Monday 17th July 2017.
