IDEAS NCBR was established in 2020 by the Polish government through the National Centre for Research and Development and aims to become the leading centre for research, development, and innovation in the field of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence in Poland. Led by its President, Piotr Sankowski, Professor of Computer Science at University of Warsaw’s Institute of Informatics, IDEAS NCBR provides a strong link between science and commercial enterprise, acting as a catalyst for innovation and commercialisation of AI technologies.

The centre plays an important role in research, innovation, and education, providing Polish universities with a pipeline of highly qualified research staff who combine expertise in applied research with commercial experience. Located in central Warsaw, IDEAS NCBR will bring together more than 200 research scientists across 10 thematic laboratories and further benefit from affiliate researchers from Poland’s leading universities.

IDEAS NCBR is now seeking to appoint a Group Leader in Artificial Intelligence who will build and lead the most recognizable research group (circa 20 people) in this area. Candidates with AI expertise are strongly encouraged to apply.
