At every level and in every role across our charity, our core mission is the same - to empower the people we support to live the Best Lives Possible.
Community Integrated Care is one of Britain’s largest social care charities; supporting almost 3,000 people with a diverse range of care needs, employing over 6,000 committed and passionate colleagues, and delivering services across England and Scotland. We have a passion for transforming lives by delivering high-quality support, encouraging independence and empowerment in everything we do.
Our charity was founded in 1988 as one of the pioneers of the ‘Care in the Community Agenda’, with the aim of supporting people leaving long-stay, institutionalised hospitals to lead fuller, better lives in the community. Since then, we have grown to provide a wide range of innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across society, often from hard-to-reach communities.
Our mission remains unchanged: to enrich the lives of people with a wide range of care needs and empower them to lead better, fuller lives through the provision of high-quality care services. We exist to empower individuals to lead their Best Lives Possible.
Operating nationwide, we support people from the tip of Scotland to the South Coast of England. However, despite being a large, national care provider, we maintain a strong local presence, and have a deep understanding and connection with each of the communities we serve. We take pride in our ability to get under the skin of these diverse localities, tailoring our services to align with their specific requirements.
As the Chair of Community Integrated Care, you will play a pivotal role in steering the organisation towards its mission of empowering people to live their Best Lives Possible. In addition to providing collaborative and effective leadership, you will maintain a high level of visibility within the charity by regularly establishing connections with the people we support, their families, and our dedicated colleagues.
With proven experience at Board level in the commercial, public, or not-for-profit sectors, you will exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with a broad range of audiences. Above all else, we are seeking a Chair who will possess a strong passion for our vision, mission, and values.
