Munster Technological University (MTU) was established on 1st January 2021 and is the newest University in the South-West with six campuses across Cork and Kerry. MTU has over 18,000 learners, 2,000 staff and 140 courses and programmes ranging from apprenticeships, degrees, Masters to PhDs. Within this period of transition and transformation, MTU is seeking to appoint a new Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Registrar. The Vice-President will sit on the University’s Executive team and will report directly to the President. The Vice-President is responsible for all matters of student affairs and academic business and administration across all six campuses of MTU. The role of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs and Registrar includes a focus on innovations in teaching and learning, academic quality, student recruitment and lifecycle, and library services across MTU. The Vice-President will promote academic excellence through academic quality assurance, student progression and completion and work-ready graduates.

The successful candidate will be a highly able and visionary individual who will bring a record of senior leadership in a higher education context, a proven commitment to teaching and learning improvement and a commitment to innovation in learning including digital and flexible learning. They will also be committed to ensuring practical experiences are embedded in learning experiences and the delivery of the highest quality student experience.
