CeADAR is the National Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence in Ireland. Based in University College Dublin with support and sponsorship from Enterprise Ireland, the Industrial Development Authority and industry partners, CeADAR’s work focuses on developing tools, techniques and technologies that enable more people, organisations and industries to use analytics and AI for better decision making, unlocking hidden insights and sustained competitive advantage. The Centre has more than 90 member companies ranging from multinationals to indigenous SMEs spanning every industry vertical.

CeADAR has a wide variety of expertise including AI and Machine Learning, Data Management, Generative AI and the responsible use of AI across industry and society. The Centre has built up an outstanding track record in successfully helping companies leverage AI for commercial success and is looking to scale up ambitiously over the next few years to become recognised as the first point of contact for all businesses in Ireland and Government to begin or enhance their AI journey.

In line with Ireland’s national ambition to increase the use of AI across all sectors of industry and public sector organisations, UCD is now seeking to appoint the next Chief Executive Officer of CeADAR. The CEO will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Centre, ensuring sufficient income for the Centre’s long-term sustainability and the delivery of its Scientific and Innovation Strategy. The successful candidate will have a powerful network and credibility in the field to work closely with media, businesses, industry and Government nationally and internationally to develop and grow the Centre’s reputation for AI research and innovation and ensuring that it has a clear, positive impact on society and the economy in Ireland as well as in the wider world.
