The School of Psychology was established in 1958 and is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. We currently have over 600 undergraduate students and over 300 postgraduate students. We offer an undergraduate degree accredited by the British Psychology Society and a breadth of postgraduate qualifications, including professional doctorates. We are seeking to appoint a Head of School to lead and drive forward progressive change and growth plans.

As a member of the Faculty Executive Board, the Head of School reports to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Engineering and Physical Sciences). They will contribute to the development and implementation of Faculty plans and provide the linkage between the school and the Faculty structures. The post holder will also continue to pursue their own research and/or education agenda, and lead by example through their participation across a range of citizenship activities, with a key focus on the development of both early career academics and promoting the school’s profile both internally and externally.
