Join Us in Cultivating Joy and Belonging for Displaced Communities Globally

Since 2016, Amna, formerly known as Refugee Trauma Initiative, has been dedicated to providing non-clinical mental health support to every child and family affected by violence and displacement. Our mission is to create community capacity for healing in communities ravaged by trauma. We envision a world where refugees can determine their future unbounded by the impacts of conflict and displacement.

For the past seven years, we have been working globally and in partnership with community structures and organisations to integrate trauma-sensitive psychosocial approaches and tools so that refugees can gain respite, share experiences, be listened to, and understood in safe, consistent spaces. As we embark on our next 5-year strategy, we are looking to expand our reach and deepen our impact.

We are seeking a highly capable and dedicated Director of Development and Partnerships to lead our fundraising efforts and cultivate strategic partnerships to further amplifying Amna’s voice. As a crucial member of our Senior Leadership Team, your input will play a significant role in shaping the direction of our organisation, enhancing our overall effectiveness, and nurturing key partnerships that are essential to our mission. We're on the lookout for individuals who have a proven track record of success in building organisations within fast-paced environments, demonstrating the experience and expertise needed to navigate dynamic landscapes with ease.

Our ideal candidate will be compassionate, ambitious, and values-driven. You will possess excellent leadership skills and a keen ability to represent the organisation with authenticity and passion. Your strategic acumen, coupled with a collaborative approach and exceptional interpersonal skills, will be instrumental in driving our mission forward. And crucially, you will demonstrate passion for, and understanding of, the work and ethos of Amna.

Amna wishes to encourage applications from experienced leaders drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds who can drive and inspire change for refugees and displaced people.
