The Faculty of Medicine and Health is the largest faculty at the University of Sydney, and contains seven academic schools, including the School of Medical Sciences and the Sydney Medical School. We are seeking to appoint a senior academic as the Bosch Chair of Infectious Diseases. Reporting to the Head of School or their delegate, the Chair will grow an internationally outstanding research program which will complement and leverage the research activities in the school and faculty.
The position requires a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills who is passionate about building a program of work in infectious diseases. Bringing a record of excellent research output and grant success as well as experience in external engagement, this person will demonstrate the intellectual leadership to build a world-renowned program, as well as actively contribute to teaching, pedagogical innovation, academic debate and policy development within the University and beyond

Term And Remuneration
The successful candidate will be offered a 5-year fixed term position on a full-time basis, with the possibility for renewal subject to performance and funding. The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
