Leicestershire & Rutland Cricket Foundation, the official charity of Leicestershire County Cricket Club, is seeking its next Chair of Trustees. Cricket has a unique ability to connect communities, improve lives and eradicate social barriers, and the Foundation is dedicated to promoting the game at all levels. Through supporting community programmes, recreational teams and inclusive opportunities across the county, the Foundation is making great strides towards enhancing and extending the reputation, reach and profile of the game and Leicestershire Cricket. 

A new three-year strategy represents a step change in ambition and outlook and sets out how the Foundation, as a community facing cricket organisation, will make a significant impact across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. This is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to lead the Foundation, overseeing its ambition to use cricket and all its many interconnecting components as a force for good. 

The Chair will have the experience and ability to hold the Board and Executive Team to account for the Foundation’s mission and vision, providing inclusive and inspirational leadership to the Board of Trustees. With an interest or understanding of charity governance, they will support each trustee in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities for the effective governance of the charity. The Chair will also act as a champion and critical friend for the Managing Director and possess the ambassadorial qualities and desire to support the Executive in engaging and exciting people across the diverse communities the Foundation serves, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy cricket.
