We are now looking to appoint a new Chair of the Board of Trustees. The Chair is responsible for the leadership of the Governing Body, ensuring the highest standards of governance and probity, overseeing the strategic mission, direction and affairs of LAMDA by providing guidance, support and constructive challenge to our executive leadership. The Chair will ensure that the necessary business is carried out efficiently, effectively and in a manner appropriate for the proper conduct of the public business. The Chair will act as an ambassador for LAMDA, raising its profile and promoting its mission at every opportunity.
Candidates must evidence, alongside a deep commitment to the performing arts, a proven track record as a successful executive or non-executive leader within an organisation of comparable size and complexity; significant experience of chairing board-level meetings and working alongside chief executives gained within organisations in the private, public or third sectors and with some experience of a regulated environment; Individuals must demonstrate a strong personal commitment to the mission, values, aims and objectives of LAMDA.
Approximate time commitment: up to 4 days per month, including five regular board meetings a year, as well as ad hoc meetings and committee meetings.
