The Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT), is a newly established research university supported by both private and public funding. As of September 2024, EIT has attracted nearly 100 distinguished scholars and emerging talents from around the world, including 14 members of various national academies and 22 fellows of leading international societies. We are currently seeking exceptional candidates for the position of the Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, part of the College of Information Science & Technology at EIT.


Job Description

We are looking for a visionary academic leader to ensure the smooth operation and sustainable development of the School of Computer Science and Technology. The Dean will be responsible for:

  1. Providing effective leadership in all School affairs, including teaching, research, and administration.
  2. Developing strategic plans that align with the University’s goals, ensuring the long-term success of the School.
  3. Recruiting top-tier faculty and fostering an environment that supports their growth and success in both curiosity-driven and collaborative research.
  4. Establishing majors and curricula that ensure high-quality teaching and holistic student development, aligning educational outcomes with national and regional needs.
  5. Building a strong international network of partnerships with leading academic institutions, facilitating collaboration in education, research, and knowledge transfer, while enhancing the School’s international outlook.
  6. Developing partnerships to strengthen collaboration between industry and academic research, in line with national and regional priorities.
  7. Implementing effective mechanisms to secure donations and sponsorships to support the University’s goals and long-term development.
