The Department of Marketing at the CUHK Business School is now inviting applications for a senior professoriate position in Consumer Behaviours who will provide research leadership and contribute to our vibrant academic community.  The ideal candidate is expected to:

  • Have a proven track record of scholarly research and publications in top-tier marketing journals;
  • Have a clear international standing in the marketing community, evidenced by recognition, collaborations, and contributions to the field;
  • Have a clear vision of and be dedicated to quality consumer behavior research and education;
  • Be committed to nurturing and mentoring faculty and students; and
  • Be experienced in securing research funding and capacity building for research team.
  • Experience in fostering interdisciplinary and industry collaborations would be a plus.

Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates with proven international and academic standing and leadership, as well as outstanding record of research and scholarship may be considered for substantive appointment forthwith. The comprehensive benefit package provided by the University includes housing support, medical care and retirement scheme contributions, plus a contract-end gratuity.

 

About the Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing at CUHK cultivates accomplished scholars and managers who guide and command best practices in the marketing profession. Renowned for pioneering research and educational leadership, the Department has developed both managerial marketing and big data marketing streams for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as diversified research areas for research students.

The Department’s research focuses on both quantitative and behavioural approaches, allowing critical insights and innovative solutions to complex marketing issues.
