Swim England is the national governing body for swimming, artistic swimming, diving and water polo in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water safely, and compete in all our aquatic sports.

As part of Swim England’s commitment to lead and serve an aquatic community to safe, enjoyable and successful experiences we seek to appoint an expert leader as our Director of Safe Aquatics and Welfare. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer, the role holder will play a pivotal role leading, shaping and delivering our strategic approach to welfare and safe aquatics.

The strategic priority for this position is to promote a people centred proactive system of education and prevention within the sport. The successful candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, procedures and best practices with regard to safeguarding and welfare. An inclusive, empathetic and collaborative leader, they will help us best serve our community ensuring a holistic approach to welfare and safe aquatics. As part of our senior leadership team, the appointed candidate will work closely with key stakeholders internally and externally to implement transformational change.

Location: Office based in SportPark, Loughborough (minimum 3 days per week)

Salary: £90k - £100k plus benefits
