Forming the operational heartbeat of the University, and now co-located in the new Emily Wilding Davison building, the Library Services team is at the centre of this transformation and is pivotal to the institution’s success and to delivering on our commitment to our students.
The new Director of Library Services will lead a modern and user-oriented function that meets the rapidly evolving needs of our students and staff and will exploit technological innovation to enhance the service. The Director will have the opportunity to maximise the benefits of the Library’s new home at the heart of the campus and to contribute to our strategic ambitions.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of achievement and leadership in a library or related function, experience of effective management of teams and resources, and be able to develop productive relationships and work collaboratively. He / she will represent Royal Holloway nationally and internationally and have a strong commitment to delivering an excellent service.
Reporting to the Director of Academic Services, and working closely with academic and other colleagues across the College, this role is a highly strategic position for an ambitious and energetic individual who is looking to achieve real change.
