Catalysing change through hyper-local crisis response

An innovative philanthropic initiative, the Resilio Fund is seeking to redefine and transform how the world responds to crises by supporting and championing hyper-local, community-led responses. We are determined to create systemic change and challenge existing norms and deliver lasting impact.

We have an ambitious vision to build a scalable and sustainable model for crisis response that supports crisis-affected people’s own initiatives to help each other. Founded by the Legatum Foundation, the Resilio Fund will place trust, decision-making authority, and resources directly into the hands of local communities to ensure more efficient, effective and dignified responses to natural and man-made disasters, that also strengthen communal well-being and resilience.

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Executive to lead the Resilio Fund through its exciting launch phase and beyond. Partnering closely with Legatum, and other donors as they come on board, and building on Legatum’s track record in launching highly successful donor funds, as Chief Executive, you will drive and develop a collaborative philanthropic fund that can support our approach at scale.

In this role, you will shape the Fund’s strategic vision, establish world-class operational systems, and build strong partnerships with stakeholders, donors, implementing partners, and governments. As the Fund's primary spokesperson and advocate, you will inspire support, mobilise resources, and champion the Fund’s progressive agenda. Additionally, you will represent the Resilio Fund as a thought leader, driving the movement for community-led responses to humanitarian crisis.

Leadership of the Resilio Fund is where passion, vision and humanity merge. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished leader to establish an ambitious, globally-focused, world-class organisation that will profoundly impact millions of lives. You will be an entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record of building and scaling organisations in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You will bring extensive experience in fundraising, securing significant philanthropic investments, and cultivating high-impact partnerships. Strong operational acumen, governance expertise, and exceptional communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Above all, we seek a values-driven leader with a deep passion for humanitarian issues, a global perspective, and a steadfast commitment to community-led crisis response. You must embody character, commitment, and competence—with character as the cornerstone of our search. We are looking for someone who leads with humility, integrity, courage, love, trust, and hope, inspiring others through service and vision.

If you are a bold, visionary leader with a passion for reshaping humanitarian aid, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description. The deadline for applications is 09.00 GMT February 24 2025.

The location of the role is flexible but the Chief Executive must be able to travel to the many countries where the Fund has a presence and gives support as well as different funding markets across North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate. This is a full-time position.
