Royal Holloway seeks to appoint a new Chair of Council who will oversee the strategic direction of the university. The Chair will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of governance and probity, providing guidance, support and constructive challenge to its executive leadership. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the future direction of the university.

Candidates will possess significant leadership experience including chairing organisations of commensurate complexity and scale. The individual will demonstrate the credibility and authority to oversee the institution and ensure that its strategic goals are realised.  The appointed individual will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for the purpose and mission of a forward-looking university in both teaching and research while building on Royal Holloway’s distinctive history to embrace an exciting future.
