Marlborough College Malaysia (MCM) is a fully coeducational, and independent British boarding and day school located in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia educating 998 pupils aged 3 to 18.  Established in 2012 and situated on a purpose-built 90-acre site, this is a welcoming community where scholarship is cherished, creativity celebrated, diversity enhanced, and conversation is paramount.

Described by Tatler as “the only school in Asia offering an authentic British boarding experience”, MCM has many intrinsic strengths and offers an educational experience which is unrivalled in the region.  As a key strategic member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Bursar plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the College.  MCM is a growing school on a very positive trajectory and the appointee will arrive at a key moment to influence the work to drive our ongoing development.

The new Bursar will ensure that the infrastructure, resources, and support systems are aligned to the needs of a thriving and dynamic school. This will involve fostering a culture of efficiency, professionalism, and innovation across a talented team of support staff, while maintaining a sharp and critical eye on financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. Resilience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and address a wide range of responsibilities will be essential. Boundless energy, good humour, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture will also be key to your success.  Existing school Bursar experience is not a pre-requisite. Applications are encouraged from candidates with commercial, charitable, private-sector and public-sector backgrounds.

The closing date for applications is 09:00 GMT on Friday 21st March 2025.
