Primary Practice Group: Social Impact and Environment
Salary & Benefits: Commensurate with experience

Dedicated to driving climate-focused philanthropy and advocacy in Asia.
Asia has a pressing need to intensify action in response to climate change, which threatens to cause economic losses of up to USD 57 billion and increase the population living in poverty to 200 million by 2040. Significant wealth growth in the region offers a unique opportunity for Asian philanthropists to catalyse climate action as climate giving has not kept pace – currently 2% of global philanthropic funding goes towards climate, with only 12% of that going to Asia (WEF, 2023). The Asia Climate Philanthropy Advisory will be the first of its kind in the region dedicated to gravitating Asian philanthropists towards climate by empowering them to make strategic, impactful contributions.
Headquartered in Singapore and incubated by several leading philanthropists and climate foundations in Asia and around the world, the Advisory is uniquely positioned to support ultra-high-net-worth individuals by providing bespoke advisory support, curated local climate knowledge, carefully vetted giving opportunities, and access to a diverse network of climate-focused experts, peers and partners. The Advisory aims to raise a significant amount of philanthropic funding in the next 5 years to catalyse Asia-led climate solutions at speed and scale.
The Asia Climate Philanthropy Advisory is now seeking a high-performing leader to join as its Director of Philanthropy to lead efforts to draw in, engage and build strong relationships with high-potential donors and philanthropists, while developing tailored strategies to channel capital and advocacy towards impactful climate solutions in Asia. Reporting to the Inaugural Chief Executive Officer, the Director will ensure the Advisory builds and sustains a robust pipeline by driving engagement, channelling resources and spearheading strategies in network building and bespoke giving support. The Director will foster direct relationships with ultra-high-net-worth-individuals in key Asian wealth centres (i.e. Hong Kong and Singapore), working closely with the Director of Climate (Strategy and Communications) to deliver curated climate solutions, giving opportunities and proposals that appeal to Asian philanthropists’ interests and address the region’s most pressing climate challenges.
The ideal candidate will bring an excellent track record in principal-level fundraising where large-ticket deals have been secured, prospect research, and translating intelligence into action. The successful candidate will be a seasoned network builder and a strategic and innovative communicator, with the ability to leverage networks in support of an organisation's mission. Crucially, the ideal Director of Philanthropy will bring a demonstrated enthusiasm and a sense of optimism to significantly increase climate philanthropy in Asia. Familiarity with the climate and sustainability landscape in Asia is highly advantageous.
If you are excited by the prospect of leading region-wide efforts to engage high-potential philanthropists and channelling much needed resources towards impactful climate solutions in Asia, then the Asian Climate Philanthropy Advisory wants to hear from you.
To apply, please submit a CV and Cover Letter, detailing how you fulfil the role description and specification to ceri.kum@perrettlaver.com quoting reference 7790.
The deadline for applications is Friday 25th April 2025 at 12:00PM Singapore Time.

The salary is commensurate with the seniority of the appointment. Longlisted candidates will be invited to first conversations in mid-May and the Selection Panel will subsequently meet to decide upon a shortlist for the post, following which interviews with the Asia Climate Philanthropy Advisory will take place thereafter.
