Our vision is a world where all children enjoy an education that unlocks their full potential.

PEAS is a non-profit social enterprise with a mission to get every African child through a quality secondary education. Our network of 30 schools and 15,000 students across Uganda and Zambia has become an exemplar for a new approach to publicly funded, privately provided education. In just eight years, PEAS has become one of the leading providers of non-state secondary education in Africa. To learn more about our work please see: www.peas.org.uk.

Ten years after the launch of our first school, PEAS’s Founder and CEO, John Rendel is stepping down from the CEO role. John will continue to support the organisation as its Founder and while committed to providing support, PEAS will ensure a comprehensive transfer of accountability to fully empower the new CEO and leadership team. As a result, we are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding and distinctive leader as our next CEO.

The role represents a career defining opportunity to lead PEAS through a period of ever growing impact and influence. After recent fundraising successes, PEAS has three years of secure operating income and an excellent reputation in the sector built on a series of awards and strong external evaluations. There is no limit to what the right leader, working from this platform could achieve.

The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of, and commitment to the value of a quality secondary education accessible to all. S/he will bring strategic vision, significant leadership experience, excellent managerial skills, and will be a coalition builder ready to generate impact through collaboration. Our next CEO will bring a genuine commitment to realising demonstrable impact and change, the ability to be a strong external spokesperson and the commercial nous to lead this social enterprise.

The role is based in London, UK with international travel, and the salary is competitive depending on experience.
