Dean of Trinity College Theological School

This is an exciting time to consider a senior leadership role as Dean of the Theological School at Trinity College, the oldest residential college of the University of Melbourne, Australia’s premier university. Aligning to our overarching Strategy 2020, we are looking for an inspiring and visionary leader with a strong academic record, a proven approach to working in partnership, and experience of leadership in an academic context.

Established in 1877, Trinity College Theological School (TCTS) is committed to developing leaders in the Anglican faith, undertaking internationally recognised research, and supporting and celebrating all forms of diversity amongst its community.

Through the University of Divinity, the School offers high-quality, accredited degrees and diplomas. TCTS prepares students for the diversity of the modern church, by learning about a variety of models of church and theological ideas in contemporary society.

Working closely with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Divinity as well as a range of external partners and supporters across the Diocese and Province, you will lead across all strategic, academic, operational, external and spiritual matters of the School. You will seek to realise the ambition of the School to become the leading Anglian Theological College within Australia for the Catholic Anglican tradition through delivering outstanding teaching and internationally recognised research in the new and changing contexts of Australian society.

Reporting to the Warden of Trinity College you will also take a broad leadership role across the College. You will be an ordained Anglican whose personal faith aligns with the Catholic Anglican traditions of Trinity College and the Theological School.

If you have the ability to lead the TCTS to become Australia’s leading Anglican Theological School then we warmly invite you to apply.
