Just Associates | Appointment of Director of Finance & Operations

Just Associates (JASS) is dedicated to strengthening and amplifying the voice, visibility and collective power of women to create a just and sustainable world for all. As an international network grounded in the Global South, JASS equips, accompanies and amplifies grassroots women activists and organizations with the tools, connections and resources they need to scale up their demands and solutions to problems of inequality and violence. JASS works with women and organizations on the frontlines of crises and change (indigenous, rural, LGBTQ, young and poor women) in Mesoamerica, Southern Africa and Southeast Asia. While they rarely have a seat at the decisionmaking table, they are leading communities and building innovative solutions to the multiple crises in the world –often at great risk.

Reporting to the Executive Director and as a member of the Leadership Team, this role presents a unique opportunity for an individual who wants to be a significant part of the movement to end injustice. The position provides an opportunity to help build a multi-centered model of finance and operations aligned to JASS’ feminist organizational principles that truly reflects local to global work and meets the challenges and opportunities of the current political and funding landscape. You will be working closely with the global and dynamic JASS senior leadership team to guide, and align finance and operations with strategy.

The ideal candidate will have extensive financial, operational and team leadership experience, international finance experience in the not for profit and/or social justice sector in a senior capacity, practice in implementing changes in processes and systems across an organization, a graduate degree in a related field and be a proactive self-starter.
