The University of Glasgow has been changing the world since 1451, using its rich knowledge across a spectrum of disciplines to consider and answer the key research questions facing our society then and now. It is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world and has consistently been at the forefront of innovation, delivering world-changing impact for over 565 years. We were recently named Scottish University of the Year by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018, and are one of the world’s top 100 universities. However, despite our unique history and established reputation of excellence, we are firmly focused on the future. As such, there has never been a better time to join the University.

We are now seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to join the College of Social Sciences as Dean for Learning and Teaching. The post holder will be an instrumental part of the College Management Group, contributing to the overall leadership of the College and working with colleagues to drive excellence across our five Schools. Successful candidates will have a positive, inspirational leadership style, and a demonstrable track record of leading and instigating relevant strategic initiatives in complex, high performing environments.
