At Kingston University, we believe in the power of higher education to transform lives, in learning through doing, and in opening up higher education to the whole community. We received the 2017 Guardian University Award for Teaching Excellence, in recognition of the inclusivity of our courses and we have risen up the 2019 Guardian League Table by 23 places overall.

The Kingston Business School (KBS) enjoys an international reputation for excellence, including accreditation by AACSB, which places it in the top five per cent of business schools worldwide. Recently combined with the new Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, we can now harness the collaborative power of a wide range of related disciplines and resources, with superb facilities, including a Bloomberg Trading Floor, the Business Incubator, and a Behavioural Science Lab.

The role of Head of Business School presents an opportunity for an ambitious and accomplished academic leader to provide the vision and direction for the School, further building our international reputation for research, among students and the business community. You’ll set the tone for our entrepreneurial approach, helping to create the UK’s future business leaders. Working closely with colleagues in the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, you will develop excellent working relationships, leading and encouraging faculty, staff and students to perform to the best of their ability.

Looking to the future, you’ll oversee continuous improvement activities, protecting and developing the School’s international accreditations and overall academic quality, as well as developing a modern and innovative learning experience for students. As for you, you’ll be ambitious for what the School can contribute to its students and to society. With a substantial track record of academic leadership and change management within a business school context, you will have the integrity and ability to inspire people and to generate an ethos of opportunity for all.  You will also have proven financial, resource and project management and planning skills, and hold a PhD in a relevant discipline.
