The Head of Conservation is an exciting new leadership role that will shape conservation at NGS for the future. Alongside your own specialist conservation discipline you will have strategic and operational responsibility for a busy department; you will work with colleagues across the organisation including our curatorial team to develop an integrated approach to conservation for NGS.
NGS has developed an exciting strategy for the coming years with clear aims for making better use of its collection, broadening its public and strengthening connections with our audience and attracting new sources of investment. Conservation will sit at the heart of this strategy as a key area that will allow us to develop our national and international programmes and engage our public in new ways.
The role will work closely with the Director of Conservation and Collections Management who is leading our ambitious project to create a new National Collections Facility for NGS and its partners.
In order to apply, please submit a comprehensive curriculum vitae, with a covering letter setting out how you meet the requirements for the role. All information will be treated as strictly confidential.
NGS is an equal opportunities employer committed to eliminating discrimination and encouraging diversity amongst our workforce.
